The California Water DRoP (Data Repository Project)

The Berkeley Water Center, in conjunction with the California Digital
Library and the UC Water Resources Center Archives, is embarking upon an
analysis of water resources data management that will jointly serve
California’s research community and the Archives’ patrons in local
governments, the private sector, and the public. Environmental data
management needs are increasing and users are exceeding their individual
capabilities for finding, managing and documenting their use of this
critical resource.

The California Water DRoP Needs Survey

The purpose of this survey is to evaluate the water resources data
management needs within California. Your input on this project is
extremely valuable to us and will be used to inform our project design
decisions going forward. The survey should take approximately 20 minutes
and consists of 28 questions covering general occupational information,
your need for California water data, your experience with existing
methods for finding and accessing data, and your input on future needs.

If you want to participate, email Julie Bowdle (bowdle@berkeley.edu).
